TANITH BELBIN & BEN AGOSTO TO HOST Charlotte, NC (Nov. 19, 2007) – U.S. Olympic Silver Medalist Ice Dancers Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto announced today they are leading a skating and music benefit for two top Detroit health care institutions: the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The benefit will support cutting edge cancer research, education and patient care. Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto’s Home for the Holidays: a celebration on ice is a holiday skating extravaganza featuring Olympic, World and US National Champions plus dozens of aspiring Olympic hopefuls from the Detroit metro area. Olympic Champion Oksana Baiul and US National Champion Evan Lysacek lead the ensemble cast. In creating a literal “Winter Wonderland,” Home for The Holidays combines Broadway–like theatric production numbers with the magic of a Christmas spectacular. Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto’s Home for the Holidays: a celebration on ice is a star studded event with a local Detroit focus to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Tanith Belbin’s own family has been touched by cancer, so this endeavor is near to her heart. “During the holidays especially, you focus on what matters: family, friends, and health,” Tanith said of this show. Ben added, “You just have to count your blessings and help those you can.” Their commitment to this cause and their hometown makes Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto’s Home for the Holidays: a celebration on ice a real labor of love. Please join them as they give back to the city that has given them so much! Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto’s Home for the Holidays: a celebration on ice When: Saturday, December 22, 2007
